NEWS & EVENTS

A new fundraiser for SWRA Teams

Hello SWRA ringette teams,

I would like to bring to your attention a new fundraising option for your teams in Winnipeg.

  1. You can visit the web page at https://www.thelocalfrequency.com/forfundraisers This page provides a brief high-level overview of what this fundraising program is about.
  2. The attached brochure is for the person responsible for choosing fundraising options (eg. Volunteer for a parent group). This provides an example of what would be sent to parents and other donors. Each team will have its own custom web address for their own fundraiser. This will be provided by Local Frequency. Please note the link in the attached document www.thelocalfrequency.com/offers  will not be live until November 10th
  3. Once a team is registered for a fundraiser, the Local Frequency team will create a custom web page for the team and craft an email for the fundraisers to distribute.
  4. Until end of January 2018, 80% of the subscription price will go to the team. As by way of an example, for a small team with 25 kids, if each family sold a modest 4 subscriptions, this would be 25 X 4 X $20 = $2,000 for the team.

If you have any questions about this program please contact tyler@thelocalfrequency.com

SWS Ringette Camps

Well it is that time of the year again!! With the season only 6 or 7 weeks away we have to get those girls thinking about the coming Ringette season.

The South Winnipeg Sports Ringette Camp is back for another year and will be starting during the last week of August

The SWS Camp focuses on conditioning, skill development and power skating with each session ending with a 10-15 minute scrimmage! All players will be well prepared for their tryouts which will commence during the 3rdweek of September. Note that the camp is not designed as a 4X4 camp which normally devotes the majority of the time to scrimmages.

Just reminder that the times and dates that are identified for each age category are tentative and changes could take place prior to the camp commencing.
