Covid-19 and the 2020-21 Ringette Season

Hello Everyone,

We hope everybody is staying safe during this crazy and uncertain time. As a board we are starting to think about the upcoming 2020-2021 ringette season. At this point we do not know what this season will look like but are planning for every possibility. With that, we have three things we would like to bring to your attention:

1. The SWRA AGM will be held on June 4th via Zoom. We are still figuring out the logistics of this and will pass on more information soon. The AGM is open to all in the SWRA community and we hope many of you will attend.

2. We are looking for new board members to fill the following vacant positions: Treasurer, Registrar, Director Coach Development, and Director of Player Development. Our Association runs on volunteers and we are always looking for new faces and ideas. There is more information regarding the above positions on our website swra.ca. If you are interested or want to learn more please contact communications@swra.ca .

3. We are still planning for the season to go ahead as normal. Our goal is for registration to open on August 1, 2020 and we have ice booked for assessments/tryouts for September 19-27. We understand that there is a strong possibility that the upcoming season will look different and are anticipating that our schedule may have to change. We will pass on any news via social media and email so please keep an eye out for this.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out and we will answer what we can. We are also open to any ideas you have regarding how the upcoming season may look. We are all in this together and we hope to see everyone in the arena come September.
